Fees payable for exercise of the activity of supplier of electronic communications networks and services (2013) - review of settlement and approval of new t2 contribution percentage

By decision of 17 December 2015, ANACOM has approved a draft decision concerning (i) the revision of relevant revenues in respect of the year 2012, (ii) on the review of the t2 rate for the year 2013, and (iii) an additional settlement of fees payable by suppliers of publicly available electronic communications networks and services in respect of 2013. This follows a correction made to the value of relevant revenues reported for MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia (MEO) in accordance with the final values given regarding the net costs of universal service for the year 2012.

As such, the downward adjustment of the value reported for the relevant revenues of MEO resulted in a decrease in total relevant revenues for Tier 2 companies, impacting the value of the t2 contribution percentage, which in 2013 increased from 0.5485% to 0.5491%.

It was also decided to submit this draft decision to a prior hearing of interested parties, for a period of 15 days.
