The 65th ETSI General Assembly (GA) was held last 17-18 March in Sophia Antipolis, France.
The General Assembly (GA) approved 34 new memberships, including 24 full members and 10 associate members. Overall, regarding the March 2014 GA the number of members and contribution units (CUs) increased, respectively rising from 777 and 3,827 to 802 and 4100.
The GA took note of the report and recommendations presented by the Financial Committee, specifically: to approve the 2014 financial situation and the 2016 budget guidelines proposed by the director-general.
The GA also noted the positive financial result for 2014 (including the return to members of most of the recorded surplus) and approved the 2016 budget guidelines which maintain the values of the various CUs.
Also approved was the appointment of Paulo Valente (Cable Europe) as a member of the Financial Committee for the remaining period up to November 2015.
Lastly, regarding cooperation, the renewal of several memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements was approved.
The next GA was scheduled for 17-18 November 2015 in Sophia Antipolis.
