The BEREC Contact Network held a meeting last 13-14 November in Helsinki. Highlights of the topics discussed were: i) BEREC’s strategy for the 2015-2017 period; and ii) the 2015 working programme, namely the decision on and structure of the working groups for the coming year, following implementation of the working programme and the proposals to change the Board of Regulators’ rules of procedure.
The project requirements documents (PRDs) were also presented and approved and will serve as basis for the work undertaken by the groups. BEREC’s opinion on the future of roaming was debated, as was the response to send to the European Commission (EC) on wholesale roaming costs and retail fair use criteria. With respect to the BEREC Office, the 2014 accounts were presented, along with the multi-annual programme and the proposed 2015 budget, and the current situation regarding administrative questions was described.
