ANACOM is making information available, from today 10 December 2014, on trends in telecommunications prices, based on indicators reported by INE - Instituto Nacional de Estatística (Statistics Portugal) and Eurostat, and in particular the "telephone and telefax" sub-index of the consumer price index (CPI) and the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), which comprises voice, Internet and subscription television services purchased individually or as part of a bundle.
This information, which will be updated periodically, was published to support the analysis and monitoring of trends in national telecommunications prices, in nominal and real terms, over time (annual and year-on-year changes) and relative to the European Union.
Information includes, in particular: CPI and telecommunications prices, monthly changes in the CPI and in telecommunications prices, average rate of change over twelve months in the CPI and in telecommunications prices, comparison of price trends in Portugal and in the European Union (EU) and comparison between average rate of change over twelve months in Portugal and the EU.
