ECC WG FM PT22 - Copenhagen

The ECC headquarters in Copenhagen served as venue last 23-26 September for a meeting of project team 22 (PT22) on spectrum monitoring and control and enforcement of the working group on Frequency Management (WG FM). The gathering was attended by 45 delegates representing 22 countries and two organisations.

Highlights among the issues considered include the following: the continuity of work on the future recommendation with respect to measurement uncertainty, namely regarding the respective complexity - plans call for it to be completed in 2016; comments received about ECC Report 44 on “Guidance for radio usage at special events”, which were analysed to decide whether or not they should be considered - the final version of the document was produced; revision of CEPT/ERC Recommendation ERC 54-01 on the “Method of measuring the maximum frequency deviation of FM broadcast emissions in the band 87.5 MHz to 108 MHz at monitoring stations”, to remain in accordance with the new version of ITU-R Recommendation SM.1268 on the “Method of measuring the maximum frequency deviation of FM broadcast emissions at monitoring stations”, recently modified by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU); work on producing a report about long term evolution (LTE) coverage measurements similar to the existent one for the third generation mobile communications system (UMTS) - ECC Report 103 - due to be completed in 2016; and, lastly, a presentation by Portugal about progress of work on the network of digital terrestrial television (DTT) signal monitoring probes.

The next meeting will be held at ECC headquarters in Copenhagen on 5-8 May 2015.
