By determination of 1 August 2014, ANACOM has approved a draft decision on fixing the quality of service parameters and performance targets associated with provision of the universal postal service.
It was decided to submit this draft decision to a prior hearing of interested parties, in accordance with articles 100 and 101 of the Código de Procedimento Administrativo (Administrative Proceeding Code), and to the general consultation procedure laid down in article 9 of the Lei Postal (Postal Law - Law no. 17/2012 of 26 April, as amended by Decree-Law no. 160/2013 of 19 November and by Law no. 16/2014 of 4 April). It was also decided to consult organisations representing consumers, pursuant to article 43 of Law no. 17/2012 of 26 April.
Under these procedures, interested parties are given a maximum period of 20 working days in which to comment.
