ECC WG FM PT22 - Vilnius


Project team 22 (PT22) of the Frequency Management (WG FM) working group, which covers spectrum monitoring and control and enforcement, met last 1-4 April at the offices of the Communications Regulatory Authority (RRT) in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius. The gathering was attended by 48 delegates representing 27 countries and one organisation.

Highlights of the agenda included: the start of work to draw up a recommendation on measurement uncertainties; the start of work to revise Recommendation ECC Rec(05)01 on "Harmonisation of Automatic Measuring Methods and Data Transfer for Frequency Band Registrations" concerning the harmonisation of measurement result sharing; start of production of a report on long term evolution (LTE) coverage measurements, similar to the one existing for UMTS (ECC Report 103); new analysis of statistical results on the number of radio interference incidents submitted by the various European administrations; completion of work to improve the report on Guidance for Radio Usage at Special Events (ECC Report 44); and Portugal’s presentation on the network of probes to monitor digital terrestrial TV (DTT) signal to be implemented this year.

The next meeting will be held this coming 23-26 September at the ECC’s new headquarters in Copenhagen.
