New Television Law has been published

A legislative package on the audiovisual sector has been published today in the Diário da República, integrating three new statutory instruments, namely the Television Law (entailing changes to the Advertising Code), the law that establishes the financing model for the radio and television broadcasting public service, and the law that approves the restructuring of the business sector of the State in the audiovisual area (including the Radio e Televisão de Portugal, SGPS, S.A. and the Radiotelevisão Portuguesa ? Serviço Público de Televisão, S.A. statutes)

  • Law no. 30/2003 of 22 August - Approves the financing model for the radio and television broadcasting public service.
     
  • Law no. 32/2003 of 22 August - Television Law and second amendment to Decree-Law no. 241/97 of 18 September, amended by Law no. 192/2000 of 18 August, and ninth amendment to the Advertising Code, approved by Decree-Law no. 330/90 of 23 October, and amended by Decree-Laws nos. 74/93 of 10 March, 6/95 of 17 January, and 61/97 of 25 March, by Law no. 31-A/98 of 14 July, and by Decree-Laws nos. 275/98 of 9 September, 51/2001 of 15 February, 332/2001 of 24 December, and 81/2002 of 4 April.
     
  • Law no. 33/2003 of 22 August - Approves the restructuring of the business sector of the State in the audiovisual area - First amendment to Decree-Law no. 2/94 of 10 January, to Law no. 4/2001 of 23 February and to Law no. 18-A/2002 of 18 July.
