The European Commission (EC) is keen to establish Europe as a trusted region for cloud computing, building on Europe's reputation for high standards of data protection, security, and for its handling of public services and transparency issues.
The Steering Board of the European Cloud Partnership (ECP) has prepared the Trusted Cloud Europe, with a view to proposing options to the EC, to help public and private European organisations buy and sell cloud services in a safe and trusted environment.
In order to compile the views of current and future users, the views of cloud computing service providers, as well as of other interested parties as to the ideas of the ECP, the Commission has released a questionnaire that will be available until 2 May 2014. Replies will inform the European Commission's future actions in the area of cloud computing.
