The project team on Technical Regulatory Issues (PT TRIS) of the ECC working group on Numbering and Networks (WG NaN) met last 10-11 September in Lisbon at the invitation of ANACOM.
The following issues were discussed and analysed at this meeting:
- practices concerning the registry of telecommunications infrastructures; the respective report is nearing completion;
- virtual access points (virtual unbundling);
- quality in access to internet service; recommendations are being prepared on best comparative quality of service (QoS) practices, including contracts and complaints regarding QoS;
- shift from the public switched telephone network (PSTN)/integrated services digital network (ISDN) to next generation networks (NGN);
- emergency call localisation.
The next meeting of this PT has been scheduled for March 2014 in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland.
