ECC WG FM PT22 - Copenhagen


Project team 22 (PT22) of the Frequency Management working group (WGFM) met last 10-13 September at ECC headquarters in Copenhagen. The meeting focused on spectrum monitoring and control and enforcement and was attended by 40 delegates from 23 countries and two organisations.

The following stand out among the issues considered:

  • analysis of comments resulting from the public consultation regarding the appendix to Recommendation (11)06 on block edge mask (BEM) compliance measurements, to work out methods to measure long term evolution (LTE) BEM - a new version was drawn up;
     
  • continuation of work to improve EC Report 044-C on guidance for radio usage at special events;
     
  • start of work to create a new ECC recommendation on the protection of fixed monitoring stations against interference;
     
  • preparation of the agenda of a workshop on occupation measurements, analysis and their use, directly requested by the ECC and scheduled for January 2014;
     
  • presentation by Portugal of results of the monitoring campaign in 6 MHz, at the request of the ECC Maritime Forum Group (MFG) held last May and June, concerning call and rescue frequencies.

The next meeting will be held on 1-4 April 2014 in Vilnius, Lithuania.
