Consultation on proposed amendment of universal postal service tariffs

By determination of 15 February 2013, ANACOM approved a draft decision on the tariff proposal in respect of the universal postal service, as notified by CTT - Correios de Portugal (CTT) to come into force from 1 April 2012.

It was decided to submit this draft decision to the prior hearing of CTT, in accordance with articles 100 and 101 of the Código de Procedimento Administrativo (Administrative Proceeding Code), as well as to the general consultation procedure as laid down in Article 9 of Lei Postal (Postal Law - Law no. 17/2012 of 26 April, giving notice of this procedure to general interest consumer associations. In both cases, a period of working 20 days is provided for interested parties to comment.

It was also decided to submit the tariff proposal submitted by CTT and the present draft decision to the opinion of ANACOM's Advisory Board, on the terms and for the purposes of point c) of article 37 of ANACOM's Statutes.
