By determination of 30 November 2012, ANACOM has approved the consultation report on telex, fixed switched data transmission, telegraph and maritime mobile (public correspondence component) services, as currently provided by the concessionaire of the public telecommunications service, while also giving approval to a set of recommendations made to the Government.
The Government decided to hold a public consultation, by order of the Minister of the Economy and Employment of 16 October 2012, to assess whether it remained necessary and/or appropriate to maintain provision of these services as part of the public service.
The consultation, conducted by ANACOM as part of its responsibilities in providing assistance to the Government, closed on 31 October 2012.
