The working group on Number Portability (WG NP) held a meeting last 9-10 October in Copenhagen, where the report on establishing compensation mechanisms for subscribers and/or among providers in case of number portability delays or abuse was finalised. It will be submitted to the working group on Numbering and Networks (WG NaN) for approval of the corresponding public consultation.
Work also continued on the report concerning the evaluation of number portability’s impact on fixed and mobile services.
Plans call for this working group’s next meeting to be held in February 2013.
