Paris hosted last 24-25 October a meeting of the project team on Future Numbering Issues (PT FNI) of the working group on Numbering and Networks (WG NaN) of the Electronic Communications Committee (ECC). The participating regulators discussed and shared experience, including recent information on matters involving the use of mobile network codes (MNC). That issue will be considered in the report being prepared by the working group, which aims to include eventual actions to take to ensure the availability of such codes and encourage competition, specifically in the market for machine-to-machine (M2M) communications.
