By determination of 11 October 2012, ANACOM has approved the draft decision on the rules governing use of 18xy numbers in the PNN - Plano Nacional de Numeração (National Numbering Plan) for information services - other directories.
It was considered necessary to re-evaluate the conditions governing use of 18xy information numbers, especially considering their social utility, with amendments made in this specific matter to principles prevailing as regards numbering.
This draft decision was submitted to the regulatory procedure laid down in the Statutes of ANACOM and to the general consultation procedure laid down in the Lei das Comunicações Eletrónicas (Electronic Communications Law), with a period of 30 working days provided for comments. Responses to the consultation should be sent no later than 27 November 2012, by email to consulta.18xy@anacom.ptmailto:consulta.18xy@anacom.pt1.
Once the consultation process has been concluded, the contributions received will be made public, whereby interested parties should also submit a non-confidential version of their responses excluding items considered confidential for the purposes of publication on this website.
