''Write someone a letter explaining why water is a precious resource'' - this is the theme chosen by the Universal Postal Union (UPU) for its 2013 letter-writing competition.
The "Letter-writing Competition" is aimed at young people living in Portugal, aged 9 to 15 years, and aims to stimulate writing and learning in the Portuguese language. The deadline for the submission of letters is 1 March 2013 (date of postmark).
One of the winning letters will go on to represent Portugal at the 2013 International Letter-Writing Competition for Young people, organized directly by the UPU.
In Portugal, this initiative is promoted jointly by ANACOM and CTT - Correios de Portugal.
