The Expert Group on Electronic Commerce held a meeting last 2 July in Brussels, where the EC presented the current situation of the action plan on electronic commerce and online services (Communication on Electronic Commerce, January 2012), especially the initiative on notice and action procedures and extension of the internal market information system to notifications in the scope of the Electronic Commerce Directive. The meeting also focused on the debate with member states about domain names, electronic books and the proposed personal data protection regulation.
