On 1 March 2012, AdC - Autoridade da Concorrência (The Portuguese Competition Authority) adopted a decision not to oppose the concentration operation in respect of the acquisition by ZON TV Cabo of the set of residential customers belonging to AR Telecom. The decision was taken considering that this acquisition is not likely to strengthen a dominant position, as might lead to a significant impediment of effective competition in the markets where it operates.
