By determination of 2 February 2012, ANACOM has approved the draft decision, warranting notification to the European Commission (EC), the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) and the national regulatory authorities of other Member States of the European Union, on the pricing of the television signal (terrestrial) distribution and broadcasting (analogue) service, as charged by PT Comunicações (PTC).
This draft decision determines that PTC reduce the price of each of the services that comprise provision of analogue television signal distribution and broadcasting, by a minimum amount of 29.6%, ensuring that the service's pricing system respects the principle of cost orientation, whereas this value remains subject to subsequent review by ANACOM.
On the same date, approval was likewise given to the report on the consultation to which the respective draft decision was submitted, as approved by determination of 7 October 2011.
