To commemorate the sixth European Data Protection Day on 28 January, CNPD Comissão Nacional de Protecção de Dados (Data Protection Authority) has released an online questionnaire, the quiz "From a user's point of view" with the aim of testing individual awareness of the risks associated with the use of information and communication technologies and to enhance knowledge, thereby correcting incorrect daily behaviour.
As part of the day's commemorations, the CNPD has also instituted the Prémio Ensaio CNPD 2012, a prize to distinguish authors of academic works or other research works in the area of personal data protection. The deadline for entries is 31 May 2012.
