Six months after implementing new mechanisms designed to improve the user experience, ANACOM has again enhanced the usability of its website. These enhancements relate to information search mechanisms, redirect alerts and giving users a chance to give feedback on the quality of the website's content.
The new search interface will include filters which are more intuitive, offering, with a single click, an overall view of all available combinations which make it possible to get more precise results.
Meanwhile, the usability enhancements that have been added to ANACOM's website include a feature alerting users whenever they select a link to a different area of the website. This solution will help users remember and comprehend the sequence of clicks followed during the navigation process and seeks to resolve a usability problem that is reported with some frequency.
The new alert will be generated dynamically whenever a link is selected which leads to a different area of the website. On the page where the alert is shown, users are given the option of continuing to the new area or they can choose to go back to the previous page. The feature also gives users advance warning of the new area's information context. With this feature, users can go directly to the final piece of content or, if they prefer, jump to any level of the new area, as shown in the image.
Finally, to get more feedback from users on the content published on its website, ANACOM will now give users the option of rating content on a scale of 1 to 5.
