OberCom publishes study on Radio in Portugal


OberCom - Observatório da Comunicação (Observatory for the Media) released a new report "Network Society2010: The Radio Network," which analyses last year´s radio situation in Portugal, including dynamics of consumption and listening habits of the Portuguese people.

According to the report, there was a decline in radio listening, since respondents who reported not having heard radio in the week prior to the survey, increased from 24.3% in 2008 to 35.7% in 2010. In terms of platform, listening only in AM / FM decreased from 72.8% in 2008 to 56.3% in 2010, registering modest increases in listeners of AM / FM radio and online, from 2,5% in 2008 to 6.9% in 2010, and those who only listen to the radio online, from 0.5% to 1.2%.
