The European Commission's Communications Committee (COCOM) met last 19 May in Brussels. The discussions basically focused on the Commission's proposed recommendation on universal service, new eligibility criteria for the '116' numbering range, the '112' implementation questionnaire and the current status of transposition of the new regulatory framework. The Commission also presented the proposed decision on co-ordinated application of sanctions associated to mobile satellite service (MSS).
