Dublin hosted last 19-20 April the 13th meeting of project team (PT) 45 of the Frequency Management working group (WG FM).
The meeting continued work on developing the content of various projects under preparation, namely one on updating the report on wireless microphones with respect to revision of the spectrum requirements for programme making and special events (PMSE), another on technical parameters for future digital systems in Band II (87.5-108 MHz) which will be a technical supplement of ECC Report 141, and yet another one on future possibilities for terrestrial distribution of audio broadcasting services.
As for future use of Band L (1452-1479.5 MHz), WG FM concluded that it would be necessary to set up a new project group to that end within WG FM. This was endorsed by the ECC, so in the future no further action on this matter will be put before PT45.
The next PT45 meeting has been scheduled for this coming 28-30 June.
