A training action on quality of services (mobile and internet) overseen by two ANACOM experts took place from last 28 February to 4 March in Maputo, Mozambique, thus fulfilling the 2011 Activities Plan approved by the ITU Excellence Centre for the Portuguese and Spanish language countries. The next action is to take place in São Tomé and Príncipe on 17-21 April and focus on the topic of "consumer protection and telecommunications regulation", under the orientation of two Portuguese experts, one of them from ANACOM.
Eleven training actions have been approved for 2011. Four more actions are envisaged for the second quarter, on conflict resolution, marketing strategy and management, making ISPs operational and next generation networks, in Cape Verde, Angola and Guinea-Bissau, which will be hosting an Excellence Centre action for the first time.
