Brussels hosted last 16 December 2010 a meeting of the Communications Committee (COCOM) of the European Commission (EC).
The Commission presented several proposals to modify its guidelines for transposition of the regulatory framework, namely regarding article 4, section 2, of the Universal Service Directive, article 12 of the Framework Directive, and article 5, section 3 and clause 66 of the Privacy Directive. The EC also presented its fourth annual report on implementation of the 112 emergency number. The satellite mobile system and the article 7 procedures were also debated and an Authorisations working group document on spectrum refarming was presented.
