12th meeting of WG FM PT45 - Stuttgart

The 12th meeting of project team (PT) 45 of the Frequency Management working group (WG FM) was held last 15-16 December 2010 in the German city of Stuttgart.

The meeting served to continue efforts to develop content for various draft reports being prepared, namely three to complete in 2011: one on spectrum requirements for wireless microphones, another on technical parameters for future digital systems in Band II (87.5-108 MHz), which will be a technical supplement of ECC Report 141, and a third on future hypotheses for terrestrial distribution of audio broadcasting services.

At the request of WG FM, and in the context of a proposed harmonisation of the L Band (1452-1479.5 MHz) for the downlink of mobile service multimedia content, a report was prepared to take into account the principle of technological and service neutrality. This report, to be considered at the next WG FM meeting, should also consider the conclusions of a questionnaire being conducted until this 19 January on planned, existing and candidate applications in the L Band, and which was tasked by the ECC to WG FM.

The next PT45 meeting is scheduled for 19-20 April 2011.
