Study Group 2 of ITU-T met last 9-18 November at the ITU's offices in Geneva.
The meeting considered the following subjects:
- Recommendations associated to different numbering resources (E.164 - The international public telecommunication numbering plan, E.212 - International identification plan for mobile terminals and mobile users, E.1100 - International Helpline resources, E.spn - Global Service Provider Network Identifiers, E.ghn - Globally Harmonised Numbers);
- Machine to machine communication (M2M);
- Inappropriate numbering use;
- Emergency warnings using the Cell Broadcast function.
On the other hand, the following recommendations were approved:
- Updating of recommendation E.164 (The international public telecommunication numbering plan);
- Annex F of recommendation E.212 (Illustration of uses of E.212 resources).
The next meeting of this Study Group will take place in June 2011.
