It is already available in the European Regulators Group (ERG) website the Opinion on the proposed amendments to the European Commission Recommendation, of 1998, on accounting separation and cost accounting, adopted during the 10th working meeting, which was held last September in Nicosia (Cyprus).
The adoption of this Recommendation by the European Commission shall not take place before early 2005, since the ERG’s opinion will have to be submitted to the Communications Committee (COCOM), followed by a period of time for comments by the Member-states.
On the other hand, COCOM met on 13 October, the respective agenda containing several relevant themes: draft proposal on PLC (powerline communications); draft Recommendation on the offer of leased lines: Part 2 – price aspects for leased lines offer; emergency calls through 112; and creation of the MPH (multimedia home plattform) standard implementation study group.
