Knowing consumers’ interests is essential to the activity of regulators – this was one of the main conclusions of the 9th meeting of the ANACOM/ANATEL Co-ordination Committee, held from 28 to 30 September 2005 in Fortaleza, Brazil.
Technological convergence, VoIP and digital television were also on focus at this meeting, during which it was also underlined the importance of co-operation between the sectoral regulatory authorities from Brazil and Portugal, at both institutional and technical level.
The next meeting of the Co-ordination Committee is scheduled for September 2006, in Portugal.
