On 14 September, the European Competitive Telecommunications Association (ECTA) published the main results of the latest ECTA Broadband Scorecard from the first quarter of 2006. The scorecard collates data on broadband penetration from the 25 member.
According to the results of the scorecard, the number of broadband connections increased by 9% between the last quarter of 2005 and the first quarter of 2006, from a total of 58.8 million to 64.3 million connections.
