The Telecommunications and Internet converged Services and Protocols for Advanced Networking (TISPAN) Technical Committee met at ETSI headquarters in the French city of Sophia Antipolis from last 31 May to 2 June. The aim of this technical committee is prepare standards associated to various aspects of next generation networks (NGNs).
At this meeting, the following subjects were covered in working group 4 (Naming, Numbering, Addressing and Routing):
- Number portability in NGNs;
- Requisites and use of numbers in NGNs and NGCNs (NGNs for corporate networks);
- ENUM and DNS in NGNs.
The next meeting of this ETSI Technical Committee will be held in September 2010.
