The National Communications Agency of Cape Verde (ANAC - Agência Nacional das Comunicações) made an official presentation of its website, with a revamped image and structure, on World Telecommunications and Information Society Day, held on 17 May.
Meanwhile, the Cape Verde Council of Ministers has approved a Resolution nominating the members of the regulator's board, with the provisional Chairman, David Gomes, taking up the position of Chairman of the Board of ANAC. This nomination remains subject to official publication.
In the television broadcasting sector, there has been a second subscription television operator in Cape Verde since 30 April. The company, CVXTV, has already started up its commercial activities using DVB-T technology.
