ANACOM has granted Alcatel-Lucent authorisation to carry out technical trials for the purposes of demonstrating DVB-SH technology in the 2175-2190 MHz frequency sub-band. This authorisation is valid from 15 September 2007 until 15 March 2008, subject to the premise that no interference will be caused to other duly authorised radiocommunications services in operation.
The authorisation is granted strictly for carrying out a demonstration of the technology concerned and may not be used for the commercial exploitation of any service. The granting of this authorization does not imply any commitment, obligation or constraint regarding the future use of DVB-SH in Portugal.
