High-level Dialogue on Information Security

A High-level Dialogue on Information Security is being held in Porto on 11 October 2007. A joint initiative of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU) and the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA), the event will take place at Le Meridien Park Atlantic Hotel from 10am. It is being organised by ANACOM and Fundação Científica para a Computação Nacional (National Scientific Computing Foundation).

The event will see the presentation of ENISA's 2008 work programme and include three dialogue sessions on synergies between ENISA and Member States, European institutions and the private sector.

It comes immediately after the public consultation carried out by the European Commission on the assessment of ENISA and at a time when the future of the agency is being discussed - especially if its five year lifetime following its establishment on 14 March 2004 should be extended.

The high-level dialogue is preceded, on 10 October, by a meeting of ENISA's Board of Directors.
