The Ordinary Annual General Assembly and the XI Fórum of the Association of the Postal and Telecommunications Operators from the Portuguese-speaking Countries and Territories (AICEP), took place in Luanda, from the 6th to 9th of May under the subject ?Communications: Convergences?.
The Fórum, with the presence of the Angola Postal and Telecommunications Minister, Licínio Tavares Ribeiro, in the opening session, elapsed in four panels where the issues related to the telecommunications, posts and multimediasectors convergence and reinforcement were analyzed. The event comprised the Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações prize delivery ceremony and an philatelic exhibition inauguration offered by the Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações to the Angola Government.
The working plan and the 2003 budget were approved by the General Assembly, and it was settled that the XII Fórum will occur in Portugal, in Viseu city.
AICEP, created in 1993, is an association which embraces operators, regulatory entities and communications sector industry delegates from the Portuguese speaking countries. ANACOM is an institutional aggregate member of the AICEP since 2000.
