Digital Terrestrial Television (TDT) - Opening of proposals


As part of the process associated with the introduction of digital terrestrial television (DTT) in Portugal, the public acts have been scheduled for 24 April 2008 at 10 a.m. for the opening of the public tender applications for the allocation of a frequency usage right on a national basis (Mux A) and for the allocation of frequency usage rights on a national and part-national basis for the service of digital terrestrial television broadcasting and the licensing of a distribution operator (Muxes B to F).

These acts take place in accordance with the periods established in the respective tender regulations - in the case of Mux A, Regulation no. 95-A/2008 of 25 February, and, in the case of Muxes B to F, Administrative Rule no. 207-A/2008 of 25 February.

The tenders were opened on 26 February, with the deadline for the delivery of applications closing at 4 p.m. on 23 April.

Under the terms set out in said regulations, ANACOM published notices of disclosure of this public acts in the press: Diário Económico (18 April), Diário de Notícias (18 April), Jornal de Negócios (18 April), Público (18 April), Expresso (19 April) e SOL (19 April).
