The Postal Directive Committee working group held its 8th meeting last 22 March in Brussels. This informal group was set up to monitor the transposition of Directive 2008/6/EC of 20/02/2008, which makes a reality the internal market for postal services in the European Union.
At the meeting, the European Commission presented the idea of creating the European Postal Regulator Group to ensure consistent application of the Postal Directive and to be a forum for exchanging knowledge and information among national regulatory authorities.
