Brussels hosted last 30 March a workshop promoted by the European Commission (EC) in the scope of the public consultation on the principles of universal service for electronic communications, under way until 7 May 2010.
The workshop was split into six sessions covering the following topics: base concept of universal service, universal service and broadband policies, broadband availability, broadband access and performance, national flexibility and strategy co-ordinated at EU level, and financing.
