Information campaign on Message-Based value Added Services

As part of the commemorations of Consumer Day, and in association with the General-Directorate of the Consumer, ANACOM has today, 15 March, launched an information campaign to raise awareness among citizens about Message-Based value Added Services.

This campaign centres on the widespread distribution of a leaflet, which at first will be available as of today at all Municipal Consumer Information Centres (CIAC).

The leaflet describes how consumers can identity these services, how to subscribe to them and how to cancel them.  The leaflet also helps consumers find out about applicable conditions, and especially the associated costs, as well as identifying the authorities responsible for enforcing the rules governing these services.

ANACOM is undertaking this initiative in pursuit of its strategic objective of upholding and protecting the rights of users of communication services and of citizens in general.
