The second meeting of the subcommittee on management of the ITU Excellence Centre for the Portuguese and Spanish speaking countries in Africa was held last 20-21 January in Madrid.
This subcommittee is mandated to take charge of the project during the period between standing committee meetings and comprises representatives from the ITU, Portugal, Spain, the standing committee chair and three beneficiary countries with Excellence Centre poles (Angola, Mozambique and Cape Verde). Besides the project's current management, it is also meant to evaluate and choose experts/trainers to put forward to monitor the scheduled training actions.
