The European Commission (EC) held last 25 January in Brussels a seminar on the launch of two new postal sector studies to be carried out in 2010: “Main Developments in the Postal Sector 2008-2010”, to be conducted by the Copenhagen Economics consultancy; and “External Dimension of the EU Postal Acquis”, to be conducted by WIK-Consult and James I. Campbell.
The first study aims to study postal sector developments in the European Union in the period from 2008 to 2010, while the second will mainly focus on external relations between the EU and third countries and international organisations, specifically the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
