Definitions
Private Networks of the Land Mobile Service: these networks are used to support radiocommunication services between a closed group of users and are composed of base stations, command stations located in fixed points, and mobile stations, or only by mobile stations. They operate in frequency bands allocated to the Land Mobile Service, but may include, if necessary, stations from the Fixed Service for base stations control or interconnection.
The private networks can operate in simplex or semi-duplex mode. They are essentially used for voice communication, but can be also used for data transmission.
Frequency bands
Frequency bands | Tx/Rx duplex spacing | Channel spacing |
68 - 87,5 MHz | 10,525 MHz Base Tx higher than Mobile Tx | 12,5 kHz |
148 - 174 MHz | 4,6 MHz Base Tx higher than Mobile Tx | 12,5 kHz |
440 - 450 MHz | 5,0 MHz Base Tx higher than Mobile Tx | 12,5 kHz |
450 - 470 MHz | 10,0 MHz Base Tx higher than Mobile Tx | 12,5 kHz |
The frequencies for Private Networks of the Land Mobile Service are assigned on a case-by-case basis and for a specific area, according to the ''first come first served'' principle.
