Temporary licences

The installation and use of a network of the temporary kind is subject to a licence for a maximum of 60 days, renewable once for the same period of time.

A temporary use network licence is normally granted for radiocommunications networks meant to support short-term events (congresses, shows, exhibitions, sport activities, etc.) and benefits from a reduced fee; it may likewise benefit from conditions of exception vis-à-vis permanent networks, with regard to operational characteristics, when the circumstances so justify (see at ?Characterisation of Networks?).

Licensing for such networks waives the formalities of band consultation.

The application for a temporary network licence should be received by ANACOM at least 10 days before the start of the event for which the licence is needed.
