URSI - International Union of Radio Science is an non-governmental and non-profit making organisation under the auspices of the International Council of Scientific Unions. Its aim is to encourage and coordinate, at an international level, studies, research, applications, scientific exchanges and information sharing in the area of radio electricity sciences.
The Portuguese Committee of URSI is holding its first seminar on ''Radiocommunications - new paradigms and health impact'' on 28 November 2007. The aim of this seminar is to promote scientific works in these areas and to encourage the exchange of experiences between researchers, manufacturers and service providers.
In August 2007 a call for papers was launched on this and related subjects, which closed on 15 October 2007. The works selected will be presented at the seminar.
