Declarations of significant market power
In conformity with the terms of point 1 of article 7 and points 1 and 2 of article 21 of Decree-Law no. 415/98, of December 31, the Instituto das Comunicações de Portugal (ICP) is responsible for annually making decisions, declarations and publishing statements on those entities with significant market power for the purposes specified in the above diploma.
Hence, in compliance with the said legal requirements, the following decisions of the ICP's Board of Directors are hereby made public:
1. Portugal Telecom, S.A., or the entity that legally succeeds it as concessionaire, has been declared as entity with significant market power in the national interconnection market, fixed telephone network markets, fixed telephone service market and leased lines market.
2. TMN - Telecomunicações Móveis Nacionais, S.A. and Telecel - Comunicações Pessoais, S.A. have been declared as entities with significant market power in the mobile telephone network market and mobile telephone services market.
The respective declarations are available to all interested parties in the Public Attendance Services of the Instituto das Comunicações de Portugal, Avenida de José Malhoa, 12, 1099-017 Lisbon, from 09.00 to 16.00, Monday to Friday and in the site www.icp.pt.
