Procedures for the attribution of carrier selection codes

The procedures for the attribution of carrier selection codes were approved on the 5th of August 1999, procedures which were the object of further clarification by deliberation of the 26^th of August 1999.

The corresponding ceremony occurred at 10.30 a.m. on the 27th of August 1999 at the ICP installations in Barcerena, with the 13 applicant entities being attributed the following carrier identification codes:

GALAXIS, initially included in the list of potential candidates was not considered because of the recent request for the suspension of the request for a license as a Fixed Telephone Service operator.

The codes were attributed for use with effect from the 1^st of January 2000, corresponding to the start-up of this activity for some of the operators in question.

After the ceremony the codes requested by the entities already licensed for the supply of a fixed telephone service were attributed by the ICP, with the exception of those who make up the 1070 to 1079 group, which will only be freed from the 1^st of June 2000.
