Renewal of the right of use for the DTT radio frequency spectrum (MUX A) allocated to MEO

By decision taken on 14 February 2023, ANACOM approved the draft decision to amend and renew the right of use for the radio frequency spectrum (RURS) allocated to MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, S. A. (MEO) for the digital terrestrial television broadcasting service associated to Multiplexer A (MUX A), corresponding to ICP-ANACOM Title No 06/2008.

The amendment to the RURS was  submitted to the prior hearing of MEO, RTP - Rádio e Televisão de Portugal, SIC - Sociedade Independente de Comunicações, TVI - Televisão Independente and ARTV - Canal Parlamento, in line with the Administrative Procedure Code, as well as to the general consultation procedure set out in article 10 of the Electronic Communications Lawhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1727429, a period of thirty working days having been established, in both cases, for interested parties to comment, in writing and in Portuguese.

Furthermore, ANACOM decided to notify the ERC - Regulatory Entity for the Media, under the Television Law, so that, if it so wishes, it may comment on the DD now approved.
