The Chairman of the Board of Directors of ANACOM, João Cadete de Matos, participated in the awards ceremony for regional initiatives that boost innovative digital solutions for an Accessible Europe at the ''Accessible Europe: ICT 4 ALL – 2021'' Forum, on 23 March 2021.
In his special address, the Chairman of ANACOM emphasised digital inclusion as a priority for resolving the current challenges, mentioning various activities developed by ANACOM to increase the accessibility and inclusion of communications in Portugal, namely by promoting compliance with the pertinent legislation and fostering accessibility in its interaction with the different players of the sector, for example, through new accessibilities on ANACOM's website.
João Cadete de Matos also mentioned the fact that the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union prioritises initiatives that help to accelerate digital transition as a driver of economic recovery and that enhance European leadership in innovation and in the digital economy.
